Possession cleaning is not housekeeping. It is a construction-clean with its own chemicals, tools and sequencing. Developers who specify it loosely ("deep clean all flats") end up paying twice — once for the clean and once for the touch-ups after buyers walk through.
Specify by surface, not by room
- Tiles and grout: cement and paint removal, acid wash where permitted, grouting touch-ups.
- Glass and aluminium: sticker and adhesive removal, frame degreasing, track vacuuming.
- Sanitaryware and CP fittings: descaling, polish, protective film removal.
- Doors and hardware: paint-spot removal, hinge and lock wipe-down.
- Kitchen platforms and dado: degreasing, silicone clean-up.
- Balconies and ducts: debris removal, drain check.
Sequence with the snag list
Clean after snagging is closed, not before. We schedule tower-by-tower behind the handover calendar so that a flat is cleaned within 48 hours of its possession date — the difference between 'looks new' and 'looks dusty again'.
